Job Description

OUTSIDE / FIELD SALES TERRITORY MANAGER – DIVERSIFIED ULBRICH

Diversified Ulbrich, is a full-line aluminum and stainless steel service center and distributor. Our Montreal (Pointe Claire) Branch requires an experienced Outside/Field Sales Representative with a proven track record of success, who will perform sales and customer service-related duties from their home.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Determining customer needs for new products.
  • Establishing new client business.
  • Assuming a proactive sales leadership role in developing and maintaining comprehensive interaction with our customers. 
  • Developing and growing existing accounts.
  • Identifying potential accounts.
  • Qualifying requirements to determine client needs and key issues.
  • Checking inventory, prepare/present quotations to clients and do appropriate follow ups.
  • Outsourcing items as required, consulting with purchasing prior to procurement.
  • Monitoring inventory levels while keeping purchasing advised.
  • Providing assistance in managing the account receivables when necessary.
  • Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business required.
  • Proven track record (minimum 5 years) of qualifying experience within a steel service center preferably with knowledge of stainless steel flat rolled, long products and aluminum, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and conduct effective negotiations.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and project management skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals within all spheres of the organization.
  • Knowledge of raw material (ferrous and non-ferrous material).
  • Must be a self-starter with an upbeat, entrepreneurial attitude
  • Proven ability to develop and meet sales forecasts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft office).
