Accounting Clerk
Duties:
• Execute clerical functions to the Treasurer’s Office.
• Provide administrative clerical support to the Treasurer.
• Support treasurers in verifying cash transactions on a daily basis.
• Prepare bank statements and relevant financial records for the Treasurer and county administration.
• Maintain and manage treasury files, bank records, financial logs and reports.
• Initiate and implement safe & secure measures in protecting treasury cash.
• Perform any combination of following: calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records: Compile and sorts document, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
• Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and total accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements.
• May be designated according to type of accounting performed, such as Accounts-Payable Clerk; Accounts-Receivable Clerk; Bill-Recapitulation Clerk; Rent and Miscellaneous Remittance Clerk; Tax-Record Clerk.
• Other duties as approved and assigned by the Treasurer.
