Job Description

Univision is looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented Sr. Business Analyst, to assist in the evolution and management of our Enterprise Technology Service offerings.  The successful candidate will lead project definition, process improvement, requirements definition, and use case development with key stakeholders across our Sales, Traffic and Research Systems’ portfolio.  This individual will be part of a team that bridges the gap between the business users, vendors, technology partners and internal ETS (Enterprise Technology Services) teams.  The Sales, Traffic & Research application suite spans audience measurement and reporting, master data management, customer relationship management, revenue pipeline management, proposal/order management, pricing and inventory management, commercial operations/trafficking, billing, operational reporting and analytical analysis.

The successful candidate must have a willingness to work across business units with a strong understanding of enterprise IT service delivery models and knowledge of SDLC and project management methodologies. Core competencies include managing customer relationships, demonstrated experience in process modeling and requirements management, and strong analytical skills.  Additionally, the candidate must be capable of the following:

  • Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define scope and priorities for system initiatives (new projects and ongoing maintenance); drive business engagement and relationships to understand key business objectives to support analysis and solution definition
  • Lead and facilitate process and value stream discussions to identify the current state processes; and elicit, identify and document potential opportunities for improvements
  • Derive, document, prioritize, communicate, and gain approval for business, functional, data, integration, migration and technical requirements
  • Create formal use case models and relevant uses cases following Unified Process
  • Analyze and assess requirements to identify upstream and downstream system and process impacts to proactively communicate impacts, risks, and solutions to other technology and business owners
  • Support all areas of software development lifecycle including quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, training, etc
  • Foster collaboration among ETS partners to keep them informed of related projects and other ETS development requests

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • BS Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, documentation and management
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in business process reengineering
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in project management in large scale system implementations
  • Extensive experience and expert knowledge in Requirements Management for packaged, custom and SAAS environments supporting internal lines of business
  • Skilled in the continuing education of business users in the role and importance of BPM and requirements Management in the SDLC, SLC, and ALM
  • Skilled in relationship building and expectation management
  • Skilled at communicating with and presenting to executive management audiences
  • Skilled at communicating and managing issues with technical teams in a production environment
  • Ability to set priorities and objectives, then plan, organize, and manage the project team in order to meet time/schedule constraints
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Expert meeting planning and facilitation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert in MS Office Suite, especially Visio and MS Project, as well as standards such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of multiple business process re-engineering methods and tools and how to apply these effectively to improve processes (i.e., Lean Thinking, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Kaizen)
  • IIBA Certification (CCBA, CBAP)
  • RUP or Unified Process Certification or Training (Use Case Modeling, UML, State Transition Diagrams)
  • Project Management training and/or certification
  • Six Sigma or Lean Certification or Training
  • Strong knowledge of Media, preferably with Sales, Traffic and Research perspective
  • Digital Media experience

 

Location Requirements

  • New York, NY with occasional travel to other Univision locations
