Uppercut is a creative agency founded by a group of people who have a long history of producing award-winning marketing campaigns and successful websites. We’re currently engaged in client work and are developing several new online ventures, and we’re looking for talented, passionate people to join our growing team.

Job Description

Uppercut is looking for candidates who can:


  • Devise and build out systems that are decoupled, elegant and fault tolerant

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers and designers to implement features

  • Work on the analysis, design, implementation and deployment of custom built applications

 


Qualifications

We are looking for talented polyglot web developers who are excited about technology and interested in building valuable products people love to use.

 

Must-have:

  • Passion for web and mobile

  • Ability to create maintainable applications

  • Expertise in at least one MVC framework

  • Test first attitude, with TDD and CI experience

  • Comfortable in a Linux environment

Nice-to-have:

  • E-Commerce/Product Catalog experience

  • Familiar with agile development methodologies

  • Development and delivery experience with Ruby on Rails

  • Exposure to cloud hosting technologies

  • Full stack expertise (HTML to server setup)
