Job Description

We are looking for a HR/CMS Application Developer in Boston, MA. 

**All Candidates Must be US Resident Alien (Green Card/EAD/TN) or US Citizen.**

The HR/CMS Application developer will support with the transition of MBTA into the Commonwealth payroll system HR/CMS. In addition, these developers will also assist with day to day operations while our Commonwealth employees participate on the MBTA project. These application developer responsibilities include performing activities related to the analysis, design, coding, configuring, testing, installation, and support of the HRCMS - Human Resources/Compensation Management System (an Oracle/PeopleSoft HR and Payroll application) in conformity with customer, and MASSIT standards and procedures and performing related duties as required. Understanding business owner’s needs, translating them into clear specifications, determining viable solutions, developing those solutions in an efficient manner, and ensuring that the solution is correct are the key responsibilities of this role. Demonstrating service excellence, a pro-active and collaborative approach to service delivery and a strong customer focus are all mandatory for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Oracle/PeopleSoft Human Resources and Payroll applications (V9.2) or HR and payroll as a senior developer.
• Knowledge of a systems development life cycle methodology.
• Knowledge of analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Good interviewing and facilitation skills for gathering detailed, comprehensive requirements.
• Extensive programming experience in the following technologies and languages is highly desired: People Code, SQL and SQR.
• Experience with configuration
• Experience with PeopleSoft images
• Experienced software engineer (at least 5 years)
• Experience in developing and executing test plans and cases.
