VVL Systems is looking for energetic, self driven candidates to assist architecture and technical planning of an enterprise-grade MongoDB architecture for a key client. This position is based in the Columbia Maryland area (Washington DC/Baltimore metro region) for an 8 hour per day, 40 hour work week at customer site.

Candidate will be responsible for face-to-face client interaction, both at executive and technical level, to define requirements and use-cases for a MongoDB solution. Candidate will be responsible for designing, architecture, documenting, implementing, and knowledge transfer of MongoDB solution for customer.  

VVL Systems provides travel reimbursement on a case-by-case basis, for employees who commute beyond a 60-mile round-trip from place of performance.

• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and 5 years of experience OR 8 years of Big Data relevant experience
• Vendor Certifications relevant to the Big Data ecosystem.
• Senior knowledge of in-memory technologies (ideally Hadoop/Cassandra/MongoDB/Accumulo, GemFire).
• Relevant experience with enterprise databases with architect, design, and planning direct experience.
• Architecture, design, and technical expertise in Cassandra, Accumulo, and MongoDB.
• Relevant experience assisting enterprise customers in the planning and migration from other NoSQL platforms to MongoDB.
• High Availability architecture experience for MongoDB.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening
  
• Willing to apply or currently have a government security clearance (current TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph required).
