Enterprise Data Architect
- Culver City, CA
ValleySoft is a fast growing global IT Services & Solutions company based in Silicon Valley, USA . At ValleySoft, we strongly believe that excellence in services to Client is not a singular act, but a habit. We make earnest effort in our constant endeavor to redefine this habit and take it to the next higher level. Our long standing, time tested experience, which span across domains, is a source of strength as it helps us effectively leverage our experience to add value to our Clients' business needs and processes. Our growth has been powered by our consultative approach, our deep understanding of business and technology, our passion for innovation - and above all, our integrity.
The Enterprise Data architect ensures the quality of data models, data integration, standardization of data transformations, maintenance of metadata, and very importantly, a mature, change-controlled, and disciplined life cycle for data, tools, processes, and procedures; for achieving predictable data quality and availability, conformance, transformations, reuse, and scaling of enterprise data, and the accompanying processes of managing evolving enterprise data standards.
This architect must be familiar with SQL and noSQL, dimensional and non-dimensional models, media and entertainment reference data and data syndication vendors, structured and semi-structured data, and the strategies for reducing technical debt in the way data is sourced, cleansed, staged and delivered as enterprise information. This role provides overarching guidance and leadership on all technical and data stewardship lifecycle aspects of the sourcing of data through to the refreshing of enterprise databases with appropriate quality, modeling, change controls, and cycle time disciplines. This role reduces over time the number of independent sets of data (non-conforming to enterprise standards) while establishing managed sets of data with value added enterprise characteristics.
The overall goal is to incrementally replace under-managed data stores and data flows with well managed data stores and data flows, thus enabling shorter cycle times and improved enterprise efficiencies that cross lines of business. This role will produce the core data foundations upon which the BI Data architect uses to source information to enable BI tools and strategies to produce insights.
The candidate should have prior hands-on experience implementing solutions and establishing maintenance processes, as well as experience providing leadership in delivering such solutions. The candidate must have full life cycle development experience, which includes requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, as well as experience with mentoring and training other technical staff.
