Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the strategic development and execution of all global internal communications and employee engagement programs with an aim to build internal understanding of the global Medical Care business strategy, culture and values. This position will actively drive change management efforts through company-wide employee communications for 4,000+ employees, across existing and future communication channels and vehicles including new and emerging technologies. Must be able to simultaneously manage, coordinate, and execute a number of complex internal communications projects within stringent timelines and budget parameters. This role will also have the added responsibility of serving on the MC Innovation Leadership Team and driving internal change management programs within this function.

The incumbent will:

• Develop and implement Division-wide internal communication and employee engagement strategies and plans that engage, align and inspire employees with Medical Care’s vision and business strategy and to drive employees'' understanding of priorities and key initiatives. Also ensures consistency and alignment of internal communication activities across all functions and regions.
• Serve as a strategic business partner and providing strategic counsel and executive writing support to MCMT as needed and developing messaging and internal presentations for company updates, key initiatives, industry issues and other topics. In order to accomplish this, individual must thoroughly understand business issues and be able to prepare communication materials for a variety of internal audiences.
• Serve as senior counselor for Innovation and sits on the MC Innovation Leadership Team. Responsible for driving internal change communications within this function.
• Manage two Senior Managers responsible for Change Management Communications programs and Channel Management, so must be fully versed with a proven track record in these areas
• Plan content and oversee implementation for quarterly global busines update meetings and other global events
• Establish the company employee engagement program, including identifying and implementing communications opportunities to connect leadership with employees, and developing key messages and communications materials
• Establish and track metrics that help correlate internal communications programs to employee productivity and organization performance.
• Represent the voice of the employee to leadership and also reflect employee voice in messaging
• Manage third-party vendors, including agencies, designers, printers and freelancers, and associated budgets to ensure strategic and cost-effective use of services

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Proven track record (15+ years’ experience) of developing strategic global corporate communications programming. This person has solid experience creating and executing internal communications and employee engagement programs that align to business, and a track record of delivering solid, measurable results.

• Demonstrated success managing teams both internally and externally, e.g. contractors and agencies.
• Proven experience working globally / cross culturally
• Ability to identify and analyze business and audience needs to deliver messages via the most appropriate mix of channels.
• A combination of corporate and agency experience, in addition to an understanding of the healthcare industry and the issues and challenges it faces, preferred.
• Ability to manage a number of programs/projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment often interrupted with immediate support requirements. Must be able to prioritize work on a daily basis and workload may demand working extended hours as necessary.
• Able to be hands-on as well as strategic. A “team player” who can lead by example, with high accountability for his/her actions.
• Proven problem solving ability that can identify source of problem, impact of problem as it relates to other functions, impact on stakeholders, and recommended solution.
• Superior collaboration and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management. Ability to project a confident leadership image to peers, subordinates and management.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills. An outstanding writer with the ability to create compelling messages that provides all levels of employees with a clear line of sight to business strategy.
• Outstanding judgment, with a balance of confidence, maturity, refinement and high energy.
• Fluency in English, plus fluency in a European or Asian language preferred
• Ability to travel ( 30% domestic and international)

Additional Information

Salary Range :  $175,000 - $185,000 USD
