Position: Project coordinator
Contract: W2, 6 months
Location: Foster City, CA
Support cross-functional and cross-company teams to define, launch, and drive strategic business initiatives through entire project lifecycle.
Assist in the structure and execute initiatives by gathering relevant data, leading analyses, developing final project proposals and recommendations, and creating and executing project plans.
Coordinate the revision and adjusting project plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Assist in the communicating project objectives, status, expectations to project team and management.
Support the creation, managing, and tracking project schedules, including tracking dependencies, deadlines, and other information that may impact delivery or quality of project.
Assisting in minimizing, managing, and avoiding risks to milestones, schedules and objectives of project.
Working closely with other IT members & Project Managers (Business Applications Group)
Preparing presentations, project documentation and reports. Metrics Driven.
Working on a project team in the most efficient and effective manner.
Identify areas for improvement in internal processes within the department and cross-organizationally along with possible solutions.
Demonstrated understanding or experience in managing projects.
Must have an understanding or experience with at least one recognized project management methodology (e.g. SDLC, Agile, etc )
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of audiences ranging in skill set (highly technical to non-technical) and experience (individual contributors to executive management), cross-organizationally and with external partners.
Excellent people skills required. Must be able to build, lead and motivate a team environment. Must be comfortable with mitigating team conflict and resolving communication or other problems within the project team.
Experience in assisting the launch of an IT applications
Excellent problem solving and analysis skills combined with sound business judgment.
Must be resourceful and seek solutions through research, information gathering, stakeholder discussions, and/or judgment to issues and problems with little to no precedents.
Possesses an understanding in the areas of Windows Applications, Windows OS, Cisco Networking, and Client Applications
Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application for console gaming and digital entertainment.
At least 3 years of experience in a project coordination or equivalent role for technology, digital entertainment, or Internet related field.
