Job Description

Due to significant growth at VetCor, we are looking for an energetic and analytical individual to join our IT team. VetCor owns and operates over 150 veterinary practices, each with their own culture and identity. We do not believe in a “one size fits all” philosophy and pride ourselves on our unique model and our outstanding reputation in the industry.

This role is responsible for writing, developing, documenting and supporting standard and customized reports from company databases using Microsoft SQL 2008R2 and 2014. The position will be interacting with operations, accounting and IT to create and maintain reports that are vital to the business.

Essential Duties:

  • Translate reporting requests in order to accurately meet the actual information and deadline needs of users
  • Collaborate with end users to gather report requirements and ensure proper testing and validation
  • Provide support to end users on standardized and ad hoc reports
  • Write and maintain complex queries
  • Create and maintain reports and indexes
  • Database maintenance and monitoring for performance issues and data analysis
  • Produce weekly reports and access reports from database




Qualifications

  • Three plus years of Microsoft SQL experience 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Access and Excel report integration and creation is essential 
  • Experience developing custom schemas
  • GP Dynamics knowledge highly preferred
