For years, The Village Voice has been THE resource to find out where to go & what to do.  From restaurants to clubs, to concerts & events, our company has it’s finger on the pulse in the city. 


We are looking for an ambitious & experienced Sales Manager. The ideal candidate is a hard-working, competitive individual with 2+ years managing a local media sales team in NYC and/or selling local print and digital media. As a Sales Manager at The Village Voice, you will be expected to coach and lead Account Executives in the selling process and collaborate with senior management on a strategic level. Contacts and proven relationships with local retailers, clubs, restaurants, brands & ad agencies are a must. This role is heavily defined by creating and achieving new sales strategies & finding new business opportunities in a wide variety of products from print, digital, mobile, event sponsorship, SEO, and Programmatic marketing.

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of proven managerial experience in local NYC print or digital space.
  • Strong ability to juggle multiple projects and tackle new projects in fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with digital advertising solutions including experience selling SEO to SMB
  • Trendsetter with emerging mobile technology
  • Outstanding communication, organization and writing skills
  • Passion for NYC and willingness to work hard and lead by example.
