The Global Solutions team operates Visa Integrated Marketing Solutions (VIMS), an end-to-end marketing platform that enables Visa’s Financial Institution clients develop, deploy and analyze data-driven marketing strategies in a multi-channel environment across the customer lifecycle - new customer acquisition, new customer activation or onboarding, and card usage. Global Solutions is also responsible for developing scalable solutions and deploying automated/semi-automated platforms and tools to address key strategic needs for our clients across the globe. Our solutions utilize Visa's unique data and analytic capabilities, technology, and industry expertise to serve Visa clients effectively and efficiently at scale, regardless of their size.

What will I work on in Global Solutions? We have unique and exciting opportunities for you here in our San Francisco office as we continue to grow our team. You will have the opportunity to develop innovative content and establish new delivery channels to disseminate deep industry knowledge for issuer, acquirer and merchant clients across the globe. Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Product management and business leadership: provide ongoing platform and product strategy, including the following:
    • Business case development: establishing business cases and projected ROI on investment, identify and prioritize target markets.
    • Product & design vision: ongoing refinement of product principles, elements of customer delight, target markets, and business objectives that the customer experience will fulfill. Support pricing strategy.
    • Competitive analysis: develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive product and go to market strategies to inform business strategy.
    • Develop strong working relationships with technology, risk, and sales organization to foster an innovative and nimble culture with very tight functional alignment.
    • Partner management: manage and monitor performance of third party partners that may supplement design, development, or go-to-market activities.
    • Performance monitoring: define KPIs, assess performance, identify areas for additional investment, and drive a coordinated go to market strategy.

  • Incubate and test new features: Use human centered design / design thinking techniques to shape the vision and functionality of the product.
    • Client design thinking sessions: lead or support client design thinking sessions, including leading interviews with financial institution executives.
    • Customer journey mapping: establish and refine the customer journey based on design feedback and prioritize key functionality to prototype.
    • Prototype development & testing: support the development of prototypes, client feedback sessions.

  • Support design driven Agile development and market launch:
    • Manage product backlog: prioritize and manage the product backlog and support planning of development sprints.
    • Support delivery sprints: represent the business in delivery sprints, including in release & sprint planning, sprint execution, and reviews.
    • Support go-to-market pilot & full launch: support the go-to-market launch by collaborating with sales delivery and marketing teams to define product messaging, deliver training, and support marketing collateral that supports broader launch.

Qualifications

We seek experienced, pro-active, high-achieving professionals to bring innovative ideas to our product development. Specific requirements are:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering preferred; MBA preferred;
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in product management or program management
  • Multi-functional project management and strategy development skills and success experiences; ability to manage teams and deliverables - and to coordinate, collaborate, and demonstrate results to other Visa divisions, financial institutions, merchants, and potential alliance partners
  • Excellent written English, spelling, punctuation and grammar; immaculate proofreading and editing skill
  • Great communication skills, high energy and ability to work independently and thrive with limited guidance
  • Highly organized with unfailing attention to detail yet equally adept at big picture priorities
  • Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty
  • Ability to lead and influence decisions of others, including senior management
  • Experience in payments, financial services, and/or technology industries a plus; strong interest in the future of payments a must
  • Some willingness to travel (less than 20% of the time)
