Team Description

Global Merchant Sales and Solutions is a team dedicated to serving the needs of our merchant and acquiring partners. The Global Merchant Sales and Solutions team is focused on ensuring that Merchants prefer Visa. We want our clients to see Visa as a trusted strategic partner that delivers tangible value and is easy to do business with. Our actions are designed to protect and grow payment volume and revenue contributions while increasing the value merchants perceive and balancing the needs of all of our stakeholders.

Within Global Merchant Sales and Solutions, the Global Merchant Core Products team is responsible for developing the global merchant product roadmap in conjunction with other internal product teams, delivering a comprehensive product suite that will increase merchant engagement and satisfaction, and defining the next generation of merchant products that will drive more business to merchant and acquirer partners. We develop solutions and strategies to enhance and broaden acceptance of Visa products and services, consult with key merchants and acquirer clients on acceptance performance, and provide an acceptance POV on key Visa strategic initiatives.

We are looking for an MBA intern to join our Global Merchant Core Products team. Projects will include:

• Develop profiles and conduct deep dive analysis of select emerging industry segments for Visa acceptance and develop understanding of key client issues in these segments
• Identify opportunities for enhancements or new opportunities for Visa within targeted segments
• Work with Visa merchant consultants on developing analyses to support growth of Visa acceptance and address operational issues
• Provide ad-hoc support as required on merchant-related projects, including data analytics, primary and secondary research, and synthesis of information

So what are we looking for in a Global Merchant Core Products MBA intern?

• 1st year MBA students graduating December 2017 or later
• Ability to perform industry research, including working knowledge of company financial reports (e.g. 10K)
• Excellent quantitative/analytic skills
• Strong ability to quickly synthesize large sets of information and present cohesive, actionable conclusions
• Proficient in spreadsheets and presentation software
• Excellent written and verbal communication
