Job Description

The Computer Operator Intern is responsible the operation of the Visa TPF/VIP Authorization system in a multi-datacenter and multi-processing environment. They are responsible for first level problem determination and recovery of the VIP Applications, Operating System, services and customer related issues.

Job Description & Project Summary

​Monitoring and operation of the Visa VIP Authorization system in a multi-datacenter and multi-processing environment. They are responsible for first level problem determination and recovery of VIP application, operating system and hardware failures.

Candidate would learn how to monitor VIP, and perform problem determination and escalation. Provide input and assist with any automation improvements to processes.

Qualifications

  • Must be in the process of completing an Undergraduate degree with a graduation date of December 2017 or later.
  • Experience as a computer operator in a large datacenter environment with strong technical background in all mainframe/open systems related hardware, software and utilities in a multi-processing Tightly Coupled/Loosely Coupled environment preferred. 
  • Experience with the VisaNet VIP applications preferred and Services preferred. 
  • Experience with the following: TCP/IP, Remedy, MVS, VM, Windows and related applications. 
  • Experience and/or exposure to automation tools and programming languages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem determination skills and customer relation skills. 
  • Ability to work day or night shifts in a 7X24X365 environment.
