Job Description
The Finance Intern in the Austin team will participate in multiple projects related to the Finance Operations team, including Corporate Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Card Program. The candidate must have a foundational understanding of finance and accounting concepts and be able to relate them to optimize processes. The candidate must be detailed oriented, a strong critical thinker, and have the ability to work with large amounts of data gathered from multiple financial systems. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various groups within Visa. Potential duties include the following:
• In depth analysis of Payables aging, including correspondence with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve outstanding items
• Test controls on existing Card Program Administration processes to determine inefficiencies and provide recommendations of improvements
• Analyze system workflows in new expense reporting tool, developing key reports to indentify policy violations and spend patterns
Qualifications
• Progression towards degree in Finance with advanced Accounting coursework
• Proficient with financial systems and maintenance skills
• Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Must be organized, efficient, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
