​ The Solutions Architect is a vital role within Visa’s Global Merchant Sales & Solutions organization and is primarily responsible for engaging with strategic clients to assist with vision, architecture, and execution of professional-grade integrations into CyberSource’s payment management platform. The role also focuses on driving new revenue by working alongside our Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to deliver solution presentations and product demonstrations in a pre-sales environment. Internally, the role requires collaboration with various departments including Product Management, Solutions Strategy, Product Development, Customer Support and Marketing to communicate client feedback and provide solution strategy recommendations.
 

Responsibilities include:

Engage with hand-picked strategic clients actively integrating to CyberSource

Play a prominent role in the vision, architecture, and professional execution of client integrations

Manage project tasks and timelines between client and internal resources as necessary

In a pre-sales environment, provide solution presentations and product demonstrations alongside Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to drive new opportunities to close

Prioritize subject matter expertise in CyberSource solutions, industry best practices, and emerging technologies

Collaborate with various departments including Product Management, Solutions Strategy, Product Development, Customer Support and Marketing to communicate client feedback and provide solution strategy recommendations

Actively participate as payment management industry expert at conferences, tradeshows, customer events and summits
 
 
 

15+ years of sales engineer and/or solutions architect experience within the payment industry

Extensive experience working with payment gateway, fraud, and payment security solutions

Technical background including a BS degree in CS, CIS, or related discipline

Ability to engage in detailed technical discussions and read / write code at a moderate level

Proficiency with client-side scripting languages (HTML / JavaScript) and server-side APIs (REST / XML / SOAP)

Proficiency in at least one server development language such as Java, .NET, PHP, Python, etc.

Proficiency in mobile IDEs and programming languages a plus

Confident speaker with ability to present, interact, and connect with executives, engineers and technical contacts

Natural ability to understand and articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner

Strong personal desire to improve and expand industry-related knowledge

Strong knowledge of CyberSource solutions

Excellent verbal and communication skills

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent self-investigation, research, and troubleshooting skills

Ability to travel up to 50%
