Job Description

Product Managers are the architects of CyberSource product offerings and the key drivers of product line success and adoption by the merchant and partners. They drive the vision & strategy of the product line and its delivery and execution across the organization. CyberSource is launching innovative new products in the payment space. CyberSource partners with merchant acquirers around the globe to provide integrated merchant acceptance solutions to merchants of all sizes.
 
The Business Applications User Experience Director will own the user experience of the Business Applications family of products, including core experience, reporting, analytics, transaction search, risk, and others.  This role will drive UI/UX strategy and execution; facilitate collaboration between the UX practice and other parts of the organization; and build a test-and-learn culture.  The Business Applications User Experience Director is ultimately responsible for the quality of the experience of individual modules and of the platform as a whole.
 
Job Scope
 
Strategy

In collaboration with domain Product Managers, develop a UI/UX strategy that advances the key initiatives and business goals of the organization 
Understand the near, medium and long term product goals, and ensure the user experience supports and advances these goals
In collaboration with Product Management and Product Development, develop a vision for the unification of currently-fragmented properties and products. Ensure that each module drives toward that vision
Execution

Define and deliver superb user experiences across the Business Applications family of products
Understand deeply the myriad types of users and ensure the experience design meets the needs of all users
Understand deeply partner relationships and how Business Applications will be deployed and used by partners; ensure the experience design meets the needs of partners
Ensure continuity of experience across and between modules and properties
Participate in all stages of the product design and development lifecycle, including research, wireframing, prototyping, development, and testing. Ensure high quality deliverables at all stages
Develop a sustainable test-and-learn practice, and ensure that user feedback is incorporated at the appropriate stages of product development
Process

Foster a deeply collaborative relationship between the UI/UX team and domain Product Managers
Ensure productive engagements between the UI/UX team and the domain Product Managers
Advise the Project Management staff on effective method of planning, executing, and tracking work in an agency service model
In collaboration with domain Product Managers, help prioritize the work of the UI/UX team
Help develop processes to ensure orderly, predictable execution of deliverables
Ensure that user testing and the incorporation of learnings becomes a standard part of product design and delivery
Advocacy

Socialize the value of high quality experience design, and help domain Product Managers understand the value of the UI/UX engagement
Advocate for user testing and build a test-and-learn culture.  Coach product managers on how to plan for testing and incorporate feedback

Qualifications



Minimum of 7 years of experience in User Experience Design or User Interface Design Management
Demonstrated ability to drive designs that achieve business results
Experiences managing a portfolio of user applications
Ability to lead with influence in a matrix organization
Ability to foster collaborative relationships across domains
Passion and experience working with engineering, product, development, and marketing teams
Extensive experience in interface design, research, and product development
Knowledge of current UX Design strategies and trends across web and mobile platforms
Deep understanding of mobile technologies, CSS3, HTML5, and responsive web design
Establishment and measurement of customer facing metrics such as competitive analysis, customer satisfaction, usability efficiency, and ease of use
Comfort with technical domains and willingness to be very hands-on in the development of product solutions
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet aggressive deadlines
