Job Description

Summary

The Global Card Design Services team is responsible for delivering impactful card design and consulting services to clients around the world, in a manner that focuses on differentiating client brands through strategic creative aimed at elevating the consumer experience.

This is an agile, highly visible function that works closely with internal and external parties to address the varied card design needs of our clients. This important work connects with a wide range of customer opportunities, spanning from business development concepts to in-market executions. Geographically we support clients across the globe, working closely with regional colleagues to ensure we effectively deliver on communicated design objectives.

Description

The Operations Manager of Card Design Services is a critical member of Visa’s broader Global Brand Experience team. An ideal candidate is someone with a passion for working with clients, detail-oriented, creative, proven project management skills, appetite to learn and a desire to have fun. He/she will be well versed in project management and tracking tools, with an ability to multi-task and support a dynamic work environment. In this important role you’ll need strong organizational practices, excellent communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally, and a desire to consistently exceed client expectations. Reporting Relationship

  • Reports to Sr. Business Leader, Global Card Design Services

Responsibilities

  • Manage design projects for clients, both internally and externally
  • Support generation of creative briefs to effectively communication design objectives
  • Liaise and participate in cross-functional teams that include representation from Marketing, Product, Sales, and external agencies
  • Work closely with Finance and Sourcing to establish work statements and purchase orders
  • Assist with managing budget, billing and forecasting activity
  • Creation and expansion of client facing design tools and insights
  • Development and coordination of new standards associated with card design initiatives
  • Develop and manage productive, effective, and collaborative relationships
  • Influence key stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved
  • Support the communication and execution of brand standards by providing guidance to clients, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Help continued and ongoing efforts to streamline business processes

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Superior project management practices with a strong bias for achieving results
  • Experience in the management of external agency partners and vendors
  • Well organized, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of design and/or printing industry is a plus
  • Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • Experience with budget management
  • Ability to translate challenges into solutions, ideas and opportunities
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, high output environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Proficient in Adobe software is a plus such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
