Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
• Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high quality solutions that conform to requirements, the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards. Responsibilities span all phases of solution development including:
• Partnering with Business to ensure completeness and common understanding of all requirements; deep understanding of the business needs is important.
• Collaborating and aligning with architects and senior technologists on proper architecture and design
• Leading team to deliver on all code commitments and ensure a complete end to end solution that meets and exceeds business expectations.
• Facilitating design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Facilitating code reviews with team members and third party vendors.
• Identifying proper service metrics and measurements for ensuring performance against Service Level Agreements
• Working with other engineering teams to facilitate a common approach to continuous integration that includes build automation, test automation, and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved
• Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
• Lead the development team in all aspects of SW development and service delivery
• Mentor junior engineers

• BS/MSCS or equivalent with at least 10+ years for bachelors and 6+ years for Masters
• Expertise in building micro service architecture
• Expertise in building scalable, distributed systems
• Expertise in developing applications on the Spring framework
• Expertise in developing web services solutions (XML, SOAP, JSON, HTTP, etc.)
• Experience in no-SQL technologies (MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Expertise in SQL technologies and RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL)
• Experience with Agile and Test Driven Development methodology
• Expertise in building Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CICD) utilizing technologies such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git
• Experience with / motivated to perform test driven development and test automation
• Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving ability
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Scala)
• Familiarity with search technologies (Lucene, Elastic Search)
• Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way
• Ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs is essential
• Candidate must be able to proficiently multi-task and be able to work independently or in a team environment
