Job Description

The Senior Tax Analyst position will be a part of the Tax Compliance group, and will be responsible for the preparation of numerous federal and state income tax returns, estimates, and extensions, as well as the quarterly forecasts of all of the federal and state tax payments. This role will also be responsible for coordinating with and reviewing the work of an outside service provider that prepares the Company's indirect tax returns (sales and property tax). The role will also be expected to perform research on various tax topics, draft technical memos summarizing the conclusions, and communicate the results up to management. The role will provide assistance to our Tax Controversy group in responding to information document requests from federal and state auditors. This individual will also work closely with a team of other staff, and will be expected to review their work on occasion and provide guidance as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Master's Degree in Taxation (preferred)
  • CPA license (preferred)
  • 4-6 years of tax experience in a Big 4 and/or large multi-national corporate tax department
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and manage workload within statutory and internal deadlines
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with general ledger, tax compliance, and tax research software (e.g.,
  • Excel, Oracle, OneSource, RIA Checkpoint)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, with strong interpersonal, team and partnering skills
  • Ability to act independently and take ownership of assigned areas
