Job Description

The Sr. Staff SharePoint Solutions Developer position is an individual contributor role based in our growing Austin, TX office.  The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in defining and building solutions in SharePoint, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering, a preference for no-code solutioning, with an interest in client-side development. They will only contemplate using .Net or other server-side code when being held at gunpoint. 


Collaboration Technologies team members wear multiple hats and are expected to work across our entire technology stack.  While this role will focus on SharePoint/Office 365/OneDrive, the ideal candidate will have a strong interest in learning new technologies, and will draw on a strong technical foundation to be able to deliver enterprise solutions for our team, regardless of technology.  

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility will be to work with Collaboration Technologies team to design and build new no-code solutions for business problems using no-code tools 
  • Serve as a second-level support resource for existing SharePoint sites 
  • Lead an agile team using SCRUM, Kanban, or a combination of the two methodologies (Certified SCRUM Master preferred) 
  • Communicate effectively with employees, consultants, and business partners of differing levels of technical expertise (ability to translate geek to English and back) 
  • Advocate for existing governance and policies around SharePoint, Office 365, and related technologies (i.e. help users see how to be successful within them rather than just tell them no) 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across the technical team, as well as business partners 
  • Estimate effort with varying confidence levels per business and technical requirements which may or may not be well fleshed out 
  • Perform site and content migrations between on-prem environments and O365, including change control and use of 3rd party tools 
  • Coordinate development and support efforts with an offshore team(s) and manage technical project efforts 
  • Work effectively as part of a highly collaborative team while independently prioritizing individual daily activities for themselves and others
