Job Description

The Senior Director role will be a member of Visa's North America Deal Team, which is responsible for providing strategic, proactive, more streamlined approach to the deal process and content that drive North America's continued growth and success. The position is based in San Francisco, California.


 


The Senior Director will drive the deal process, oversight and strategy for RFPs and pitches, as well as lead the cross-functional coordination between Account Executives, executive management and the appropriate business functions (i.e., Product, Legal, Finance, etc.). The role works closely with the North America Deal Team Lead and cross-functional internal deal teams. This position will be responsible for managing the process that provides leadership, oversight and guidance for the deals support team.


 


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and oversee work streams on projects related to Visa North America issuer deals 
  • Drive development of strategic approach and recommendations with robust content and data that is well organized and structured to support executive decision making 
  • Develop and manage content that delivers the Visa value story and capabilities to clients 
  • Work closely with Account Executives, Sales leads, product teams and NA executive teams to prioritize and execute on issuer deals 
  • Drive and develop strategic deal approach for Visa products and capabilities

Qualifications

  • 15+ years overall experience 
  • MBA preferred 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years card payments experience 
  • Ability to formulate and execute strategies for financial institutions and payment card portfolios 
  • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and concluding complex projects 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective client content 
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, and deliver under tight deadlines/time frames 
  • Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and synthesize data 
  • Eagerness to work in teams with personnel of all levels to accomplish project objectives 
  • Ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships 
  • Foster productive relationships at all levels within the team and across deal teams
