Job Description

Visa Inc is looking for a Sr. Systems Analyst to work in the U.S. VisaNet & CyberSource Distributed Operations Batch Support Team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the VisaNet Batch Processing, CyberSource and Authorize.Net, solving complex problems, and act as a liaison between Operations, Product Development, and Customer Support. They must be able to work in a fast paced environment, managing open systems LINUX/UNIX and Windows job processes, troubleshoot job problems, and work internal tickets and merchant escalations.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Operations environment requiring shift work, 12 hour day shifts, required to work weekends and holidays as requested or scheduled.
  • Ensure all jobs complete within the SLA and OLA timescales to include settlement processing and daily report generation.
  • Provide support across multiple applications, for VisaNet, Cybersource and Authorize.net.
  • Handle job Abends for root cause, complete trend analysis in Problem Management and assist in Change Management for a permanent fix.
  • Provide second level support, resolution and escalation for VisaNet batch processing as well as Cybersource merchant escalations
  • Work with Service Desk, Customer Support, Application, Development and Engineering teams and third party vendors/partners to resolve complex issues
  • Preparation and maintenance of internal documentation
  • Mentor junior staff to include job training
  • Provide manager delegate duties when required, acting as a technical focal point for management communications and provide representation during conference calls and meetings.
  • Accountable for operations on shift in addition to their individual contributions.
  • Proactive analysis of the applications, tools and systems to improve efficiencies and availability.
  • Is the 1st level of escalation within the team and a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Information Systems or ten years education discipline or equivalent experience on the job training in a similar environment
  • Five years of Windows and UNIX experience
  • Five years of database experience and SQL skills
  • Experience with file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, Connect:Direct
  • Two years of experience on one or more programming languages such as shell scripting, Perl, Java, JavaScript, PHP.
  • Two years working with CA-ESP(scheduling package), TSO & TPX, JCL, Sysview, C1 Endeavor, Netcool Alerting Tool, Remedy reporting
  • ITIL certification or equivalent; Incident, Problem and Change management.
  • Ten years of payment processing experience or equivalent, e.g. finance industry
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and to also work effectively as part of a team
  • Outstanding analytical and diagnostic skills; e.g., root cause analysis
  • Experience working with other operation teams to solve technical problems
  • Must have a strong commitment to execution, follow through and timely communication
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people
  • Exceptional organization skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
