Job Description

This role is primarily responsible for assisting with collections of past-due customer accounts and responding to related email correspondence and billing inquiries for CyberSource, a division of Visa. Additionally, candidates must have the ability and willingness to learn and assist with other revenue operations processes and responsibilities. This position requires the ability to learn quickly and to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, both of which require strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate must be able to work with external clients and internal partners alike.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Collaborate with sales, customer support, and other internal functions to resolve balances; strong interpersonal skills are essential to successfully engage in such a level of collaboration 
  • Contact customers with past-due balances by email and phone to request payment and to resolve billing questions and other customer service matters 
  • Provide invoices, statements, and other documentation requested by customers 
  • Interact professionally and calmly with customers who dispute balances 
  • Understand professional collections practices and apply those practices across multiple geographies and business units 
  • Understand contract and pricing arrangements with customers to verify balances are correct and collections efforts are in accordance contractual obligations 
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, both of which require strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills 
  • Work comfortably and independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment 
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred 
  • 3-5 years of experience 
  • Good Excel skills are required 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required 
  • Ability to work with a heavy volume of data 
  • Ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines 
  • Ability to drive results within a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to contribute new ideas and solutions for current processes and to address business challenges 
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills 
  • Ability to plan, organize, and adapt within a multitasking environment 
  • Self-motivated 
  • Willing to utilize and learn new technology to solve problems 
  • Proficient with MS Word 
  • Experience working in an e-commerce environment with an understanding of payment industry is a plus
