Job Description

Position Summary:

This position will report to the Head of Program and Business Management within the VDP organization.

The Program and Business Management team is responsible for all business management activities across the organization including:

Portfolio level management of VDP programs and projects with an annual portfolio size of ~$60M
Business management activities including financial budget and forecasting, audit activities (both internal and external), and headcount budgeting and forecasting
Direction and oversight of the Technical Product Manager teams within the organization, to insure governance and consistency in practices
Management of cross organizational and division initiatives

Responsibilities:

Support senior and executive management in making critical decisions and escalations by providing regular executive level briefings focusing on key activities, risks, and financial standing on the overall portfolio. This includes development and management of:
- Portfolio level dashboards and metrics
- Facilitating reviews of critical project charters and gates
Manage the submission of high quality and informative updates to C-Level management:
- Executive level dashboard reporting
- Executive Committee reporting
- Executive Watch Lists
Provide portfolio level oversight which includes:
- Work closely with the Development teams, Technology Business Management, Global Security and Finance teams to insure compliance and partnership on the Project Management Methodology (PMM), Key Controls, audit and funding processes
- Ensure the VDP portfolio is in compliance with Visa's Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and that accurate and timely information is collected and reported regularly on progress and financial status
- Develop and maintain organization level document repositories, including SharePoint sites
- Work closely with Capital Planning and Finance groups to prepare Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budgets
Support the business of operating the organization which includes:
- Coordinate all-staff level activities including all-staff meetings, town halls, brown-baggers, newsletters, training, team-building and other employee engagement related activities.
- Develop consistent risk, issue and financial tracking standards and processes for the organization.
- SharePoint site administration.
Engage effectively with stakeholders at all management levels across Visa, including architects and strategists, technical IT subject matter experts, business partners, vendors, and Visa senior management in support responsibilities of this role.

Qualifications



Eight to ten years of proven experience managing complex, cross-organizational, multi-stakeholder activities.
A BA/BS or equivalent work experience is required.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. In particular, a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally as needed to support the Technology strategic goals.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Solid analytical skills and ability to think strategically.
Demonstrate and leverage strong business and financial acumen.
Manage through influence, but without direct management authority. Use capabilities to influence customers and stakeholders, and properly manage divergent expectations.
Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
Demonstrated ability to succeed in a complex organization where the ability to discover and internalize diverse stakeholder goals is critical to brokering solutions that are in the best interest of Visa as a whole.
Independent judgment and mature decision making skills to deal with activities that often have enterprise-wide scope and may have significant financial and compliance impacts.
Ability to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate activities with other teams when needed.
Ability to negotiate and gain consensus between organizations where competing priorities exist.
Good understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
