Job Description

The Benefits Analyst will support the day to day activities of Visa's benefit programs for the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of benefits project management, administration and compliance.

This individual will collaborate closely with other members of the benefits team, along with members of HR, Finance, Legal, HR Shared Services and Corporate Services. They will also work closely with our third party administrators and consultants.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the various benefit plans Visa offers to employees in the US and Canada (e.g., medical, dental, vision, ex-pat, wellness, perks, commuter, service awards, education reimbursement, and retirement).
  • Demonstrating strong project management skills and providing program owners with proactive support and on-time deliverables
  • Providing accurate and timely operational support, including data reconciliation with payroll and our benefit administrators and payment of invoices from third party benefit providers
  • Identifying ways to continuously improve operational processes including but not limited to the activities listed above
  • Testing, analysis and general support for Open Enrollment and other programs and projects
  • Collaborating with the HR Shared Services team, equipping them to respond to employee inquiries and conducting ongoing benefit plan education
  • Developing content for benefits communications and maintaining benefit plan web content
  • Resolving escalated employee issues
  • Building and maintaining successful relationships with benefits vendors and brokers
  • Ensuring all health and wellness programs and activities comply with related federal and state rules and regulations, including the distribution of legally required documents

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in HR/benefits program support
  • BA/BS degree, equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of ERISA law
  • Strong analytic and risk analysis skills
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to effectively deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to produce results with little direction
  • Strong written, verbal, and problem solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Desire to work with others in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to produce in a fast-paced working environment
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, experience with ADP and Workday a plus
