Job Description

As part of the Global Product organization, the Data Products team is looking for a market development product manager that is passionate about innovating and delivering differentiated data solutions across the Visa payment network. This person will be responsible for working with the product management, sales, pricing and marketing organizations with a focus of delivering a diverse set of data product solutions to the market across Visa's client base globally. This individual will work heavily with clients and internal stakeholders to launch and roll out these solutions, drive the market feedback process, execute the launch and drive product adoption and utilization with the business development teams.

This is a matrixed, cross-functional role so organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are critical, as we interface with other specialized product groups, financial institution sales, merchant sales, client consulting, operations, risk, analytics, marketing and corporate communications to coordinate the launch and support of new and existing products.

Responsibilities

The Director will be responsible for developing go to market plans for the pipeline of new data products, working with Visa's client sales and business development organizations to assess market opportunities and working together to deliver sales pitches and inform clients about new products. This role will have responsibility for delivering presentations on products, collecting feedback from clients and working with the data products team to build those product features out. This position will play a significant role bringing more payment data insight capabilities to Visa's clients

Other responsibilities include:

  • Sales presentations across issuing, acquiring, merchant and payment service providers
  • Market assessment, business case analysis and go to market plan development
  • Sales training and material development
  • Build go to market and commercialization tracks for these products

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in a combination of technical sales, product management and business development. Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results. Ability to work closely with other team members and key stakeholders in technology, product and the rest of the business.

Significant experience in working in software sales, data services delivery or client consulting organizations.

  • Fantastic communication and client sales or training session delivery
  • Experience in product management
  • Ability to understand a business case and pricing
  • Knowledge of API standards and development concepts and ability to explain in terms that stakeholders of various backgrounds can understand and deploy
  • Cross-organizational interaction ability – experience working outside of a single silo
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse population
  • Ability to work well and productively, always projecting a positive outlook in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, go-getter and self-motivated
  • Bachelor Degree required
