Job Description

The Senior Director will be a core member of the North America Debit Product Team which is
responsible for leading the strategy and growth of Visa’s debit products. This person will help the team set product strategies, determine overall marketplace engagement approaches including
merchant, acquirer, issuer, and other stakeholder strategy and tactics. She/he will also have accountability for managing and delivering on assigned strategic goals and market enhancement
initiatives. This person will lead cross-functional strategy and tactical efforts regarding merchant, acquirer and issuer engagement.

Ideal candidates will have deep familiarity with Debit in the United States, from both a business and regulatory perspective. Experience with innovation, product development, and product commercialization are also important. Demonstrated strength in building and maintaining internal relationships
will be an important factor to success.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Support all debit product activities related to market
    and stakeholder engagement

  • Lead cross functional Visa teams to execute the debit
    strategy

  • Work with the merchant and issuer Account Executive
    teams to support client initiatives

  • This role will work collaboratively across functional
    teams including Marketing, Sales, and others

Qualifications

     
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in transaction card products, with a heavy emphasis on Debit
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • In-depth understanding of the electronic payments marketplace, regulatory environment, merchants and issuers
  • Strategic and analytical thinker; demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly
  • Results-oriented, change agent who consistently challenges the status quo and himself/ herself to aim for higher ground
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership and effectiveness at all levels; specifically, able to lead from the front, middle and back
  • Excellent communication skills to senior level executives
  • Modeler of collaboration and influence; natural team player with strong influencing and interpersonal skills, a resourceful developer of relationships who enhances overall credibility
  • Ability to work in a fluid, creative and innovative environment
  • Able to build credibility, influence and negotiate at highest levels within core segment organizations
