Job Description

The Technology organization within Visa, Inc. is responsible for all systems, technology and processing platforms, networks, and the development required to support the business demands of the company.

The Technology Business Management organization provides key business management oversight and integration across the Technology organization. This includes driving investment planning & budgeting, project & portfolio management, executive reporting, workforce planning activities, strategic initiatives program management, and communications activities. The team is focused on improving efficiencies,
transparency, consistency and collaboration within the Technology organization and other key cross-functional stakeholders.

Reporting to the Director of Reporting & Analytics, this position will own the end-to-end business process and governance activities that are in place to support Technology EVP approval for procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review technology related purchase requests and provide feedback to stakeholder group to ensure requests are accurate and complete.

  • Work with various program offices, procurement teams and other stakeholders to ensure timely submission of purchase requests that require approval.

  • Track adherence to the golden rules of procurement, provide timely awareness and escalation where there are violations and share best practices with other teams.

  • Drive build out of dashboards and produce reports that capture volumes, trends and compliance related metrics.

  • Drive change management activities related to training and communication of the process and golden rules framework to a broad stakeholder group.

  • Lead efforts to streamline business process and identify ways to automate and improve.

  • Coordinate end-to-end approval workflow of purchase requests in Oracle iProcurement.

Qualifications

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

  • 5 - 7 years of business experience with a management consulting focus.


Required skills:

  • In-depth understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and their application (e.g. processing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, executing RFP’s etc.).

  • Strong working knowledge of capital and annual operating planning, purchasing, sourcing, and vendor management, financial management and reporting.

  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills with experience taking raw data and drawing actionable insights from it.

  • Outstanding written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Skilled in the creation of presentations, new reporting mechanisms and other documents.

  • High attention to detail with ability to synthesize information from multiple sources for a variety of audiences including technology and business executives.

  • Experienced in defining, creating, and implementing new management reporting, KPI's and metrics.

  • Strong process orientation and demonstrated ability to define and document new or improved financial, operational, and business processes and reporting mechanisms. Ability to map out as is and to be processes, and identify opportunities to streamline and/or automate processes utilizing tools and process improvements.

  • Proficiency in purchasing systems and organizational interfaces (including Ariba and Oracle).

  • Extremely comfortable with Excel, MS Access and Analytics tools such as Tableau to develop dashboards

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.

  • Ability to work effectively and independently with a diverse team and produce time sensitive concurrent deliverable
  • Working knowledge of financial budgeting, forecasting and familiarity with Oracle Hyperion, and iProcurement or equivalent financial management tools preferred.

  • Knowledge of reporting systems such as SQL, Microsoft Access, Business Intelligence / centralized reporting systems (e.g. OBIEE) preferred.

  • Experience in the Payments and/or Technology industry a plus
