Job Description

Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst position will partner the Head of Finance SSA and be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analyses, data modeling and analytics to be used by Executive Management. This role will have direct exposure to the SSA leadership team and be required to work closely with other Finance teams across the world.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible for sub regional Forecasting and Budgeting as part of SSA FP&A team
  • Partner with geographic counterparts and regional teams to ensure alignment on financial performance and drivers of forecasts/results
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements in accordance with deadlines
  • Assist with the commercial structure of client incentive deals and build the associated financial models
  • Prepare comprehensive business trend materials used for communication to the SSA and regional leadership teams
  • Build attribution and driver based models to conduct quantitative analysis to outline contributing factors to financial performance
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency of information as well as organised documentation of results and data sources used
  • Understand performance reporting conducted across the company so subject matter experts can be leveraged effectively
  • Coordinate, prioritise and manage adhoc projects and requests
  • Proactively find process improvements and value add initiatives to drive increased Revenue growth and Profitability

Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant with at least 4-6 years post Articles experience
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Financial/commercial analysis experience from within a large, multi-national, publicly-traded corporation would be preferable
  • Must be a proactive, high-energy and motivated team player capable of delivering multiple initiatives/projects
  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships across the business and communicate effectively with Executive Management
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills; able to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses
  • Expert skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven system skills could be beneficial (e.g. TM1, Hyperion)
  • Proven expertise in modeling techniques and managing large data sets
  • Must be detail oriented and possess good prioritisation skills to ensure relevancy, accuracy and quality of output and to ensure these are delivered according to business needs
  • Able to work cross functionally, geographically and with virtual teams while promoting a culture of openness, trust and flexibility
