Job Description


This position will drive process standardization, automation, and improvements along with overseeing all
aspects of daily Payroll processing for North America (NA). The role will coordinate, direct and control payroll preparation, distribution and the reconciliation of payroll output. The work involves solving unique and complex problems that have broad impact on the business, development of strategic service concepts and operational and technical leadership, as well as implementation of annual goals and plans for the NA team.

Position Responsibilities:

  •  Supervise andcoordinate activities of US payroll staff
  • Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements

  • Work closely with Sr.Director on global payroll initiatives and projects

  • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner

  • Ensure that all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory

  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll

  • Evaluate technologies and processes to enable transformation

  • Continually assess and apply best practices

  • Champion policies that promote best practices

  • Align business practice and strategy

  • Reconcile payroll in bound interfaces to payroll output

  • Automation and standardization of processes

  • Recommend service level standards

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to realize vision of world class service

  • Approve and release payroll disbursements

  • Work on special projects as needed

  • Assist with payroll reporting

  • Mitigate risk by honing controls necessary to process payroll

  • Identify required capabilities and skill gaps within own organizational area

  • Administer time and attendance systems

  • Performance manage and develop US payroll staff

Additional Information


  • Five plus years of managerial/supervisory experience
  • Excellent communicator

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculations and processing – multi-state

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

  • Ability to discharge tasks effectively under intense pressure and attain targets, as well as being
    proficient in time management

  • Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent work experience

  • Strong project management skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft tools


  • Certified Payroll Professional

  • Experience with Workday (or equivalent HRIS systems)

  • Experience with ADP, CloudPay or other global payroll platforms
