Job Description

Director for Digital Launch Readiness is responsible for successful product launches by ensuring that all internal and external documentation, training and communications are in place as well as planning and managing UAT and closely monitoring releases during a burn-in period. This will require the successful candidate to leverage their experience in building out sustainable processes; successfully interacting and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders; and take a hands-on approach in ensuing effective product launches. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Product Launch Management and Operations. The ideal candidate will be an analytical, structured thinker and a creative problem solver with experience in product, operations, program management and/or consulting and a passion for delivering amazing products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Owners to understand upcoming functionality in order to identify
    release, documentation and training needs
  • Ensure that UAT plans are created and validated and call out any additional release related risks or issues
  • Collaborate with the technology execution and release functions to ensure alignment between the groups
  • Ensure that all launch related documentation is identified, prepared and approved in an on-going basis.
    Documentation that needs to be considered are release notes, integration guides, sales, training materials, etc.
  • Publish an on-going release readiness schedule that clearly shows what is required for each release,
    when it is needed and who is responsible.
  • Proactively communicate with key stakeholders to ensure that they are aware of the release plan and
    deliverables as well as any change or risk, particularly as launch dates approach.
  • Post release, publish an internal summary of new features as well as updates with regards to any success, issues or next steps if required. It will be up to the individual to balance the right amount of
    information and delivery mechanism.
  • Work with stakeholders inside and outside product organization to ensure continuous improvements in Release process for consistent, predictable, on-time and high quality releases

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and
    influence change at all levels.
  • Flexible and proactive trouble shooting capabilities with the ability to manage diverse groups organized
    within different organizational reporting lines.
  • Process-oriented problem solver who can adapt within a multi-tasking environment and simultaneously manage multiple issues and projects with limited resources.
  • Proven ability to work independently and anticipate deliverables needed.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to execute tactically according to a well-defined plan.
  • A customer centric approach and a passion for products is a must with the ability to manage and influence across functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. In particular, a demonstrated ability to effectively
    communicate issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally as needed.
  • An ability to adjust messaging according to the audience, from going deep into more technical aspects of
    the product with the appropriate audience that requires this level of detail to providing an overview of product strategy and proposition to Visa management, clients and partners.
  • Bachelor's Degree Minimum 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in product management and /or product development and / or program management.
  • Prior experience in product launch management is highly desirable.
  • High attention to detail and quality for all work products
