Visa is looking for an automation & QA engineer who will join Visa’s Next Generation Operation Technology Solutions team responsible for developing & maintaining complex automations & automated QA testing framework for key applications used by Visa’s Operations & Infrastructure team.

As a software engineer in this team you will help lead, design, enhance and build automations and quality assurance platform for our developers who creates end-to-end solutions using modern backend & frontend technologies in an agile development environment. You will be working with colleagues, who will help, support and challenge you every day. Development of unit testing, behavior testing, functional testing code in a continuous integration platform is just part of your DNA. You will be working in development & live production environment and will get excellent experience that will help you throughout your career.

Responsibilities:
We expect our engineers to do much more than writing code:
• Write optimized unit testing, behavior testing & functional testing code by collaborating with the end users / customers & developers.
• Work with various internal teams in Visa to ensure adherence toward standard software development methodology & framework. Partner with internal team's developers to ensure that their code is applying the standards.
• Comfortable in leading meetings and discussions with non-technical teams.
• Finding the best and most creative solutions to many different types of problems and help our client & internal teams to achieve their goals.
• Be an aficionado & advocate of latest technology in automation & QA domain. Apply these technologies in a manner that empowers Visa in achieving operational & development excellence.

Required Qualifications
• Masters in computer Science with 2 years of experience or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science with 5 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience with process or workflow automation software (e.g. HPOO, BAO, Activiti, StackStorm etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with writing scripts in Python/Perl/Ruby.
• Demonstrated experience with QA testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Jenkins etc.)
• Experience with REST, SOAP, JSON and XML is helpful.
• Experience with programming languages like Java, C# (.Net), JavaScript, Python/Ruby etc
• Knowledge of software development life cycle required


Good to have/ plus
• Experience with testing framework like TDD, BDD etc.
• Experience with next generation testing tools like Karma / PhantomJS / Protractor / Jasmine etc.
• Previous use of GIT or Subversion for code management and versioning.
• Development of RESTful APIs, a huge plus.
• Linux familiarity and experience working in a shell environment.
• Familiarity with Network, Systems and Infrastructure Management concepts, for example FCAPS model is good to have.
