This Senior Director position presents an innovative and unique opportunity for a qualified candidate. This role is responsible for spearheading the payment strategy and consulting efforts with a regional Financial Institution
based in Virginia Beach, VA. In addition to leading the payment strategy effort on behalf of the client, this Senior
Director will support portfolio analytics, product development, marketing efforts and coordinate bringing Visa’s diverse collection of resources to the client in support of optimizing client’s Visa product performance. The Senior Director will work to retain and grow client profitability by delivering solutions that maximize product marketing and operational strategies and tactics across channels and payments products. The individual will engage with client Senior Management and seek to embed Visa’s product, analytics, loyalty, technology and
other solutions, as relevant to client needs and opportunities. This embedded position is at the client based in Virginia Beach, VA.

Job Description

Responsibilities include

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of Visa and client business with a focus on driving client revenue

  • Lead client’s payment strategy effort from within the client organization including developing strategies and tactics to optimize clients’ performance

  • Managing Visa’s consulting and marketing relationship with client

  • Earning marketing, consumer, product and payment thought leadership with client by providing data-driven and actionable recommendations and solutions that drive measurable results

  • Identifying client opportunities, scoping work, developing roadmaps, selling and executing engagements

  • Working with Visa internal stakeholders, including assigned Account Executive, and partners to advocate for client needs for the purposes of platform development, product development, marketing strategy
    creation, and other solution development

  • Delivering consumer, product, and marketing and other insights

  • Codifying key learnings, collecting best practices, and socializing among Visa colleagues and senior executives

  • Managing relationships with external third party vendors to supplement Visa tools, resources and assets.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10-years of broad-based financial services experience with a payment specialty

  • Experience from within financial services, strategic planning or consulting disciplines

  • A bachelor’s degree required and a Masters of Business Administration preferred
