Job Description

The Vice President, Head of US Credit is responsible for Visa’s U.S. Consumer Credit platforms, products and solutions. This includes the core credit platforms of Visa Traditional, Traditional Rewards, Signature and Infinite. The role will also be responsible for leading development and execution of product strategy, cardholder benefits and go-to-market activities. Our Credit platforms drive over a trillion dollars annually in payment volume, and generate significant net revenue for Visa. Our issuing partners utilize these platforms to serve the needs of over 100M customers, helping consumers meet financial goals and delivering exceptional products in marketplace segments including student, secured, new-to-credit, non-rewards and rewards products.

This is a senior level position reporting directly to the Head of North America Product.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy definition and execution of US Consumer Credit platforms
  • Guide ideation, design, development, implementation and management new features and capabilities for Credit platforms. Solve for what clients and consumers need and want and figure out how to deliver this. Act as the Subject Matter Expert/ Product lead with issuing clients and across the Visa organization in North America
  • Drive product development to increase the ways in which Visa’s credit products are presented, consumed and interacted-with digitally
  • Form senior level relationships across and outside the Visa organization
  • Have a deep understanding of the needs of cardholders, issuing banks and merchants, including the economic drivers that motivate marketplace participants
  • Publicly represent Visa Credit at internal and external events, including conferences, meetings and presentations and with analysts and journalists
  • Lead a substantial team of product professionals managing a wide range of product areas (benefits, insurances, go to market, etc.)
  • Own and manage a substantial budget
  • Lead discussions and decisions about what investments are made for the Credit platform, both on a one-time and ongoing basis. Guide the development and articulation of the business case for investments to ensure the health of the product, as well as to drive growth.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years’ experience in product leadership, development and strategy
  • Experience within other financial services. Ownership of a credit issuing P&L a plus.
  • Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) fluency
  • Proven leadership capabilities including strong thought leadership, effective decision making, strategy development and ability to drive results
  • Proactive and effective communicator, experienced in presenting information to all levels and with ability to facilitate large group discussions
  • Passionate about what you do, funny (or, at least can take a joke), and fired up about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leader
  • Superior strategic thinking ability to assess complex business environments and translate into actionable business plans and executions
  • Strong collaboration and ability to manage cross functionally
  • Ability to influence at senior levels
  •  Understanding of P&L drivers and overall business acumen
