Visa is seeking highly energetic, passionate, technology enthusiasts for Merchant Data Platform team. The candidate will work as part of the Merchant Data Platform team to lead a team of talented engineers
who would design and develop solutions for Merchant analytics and reporting needs. The ideal candidate will bring robust experience in developing technical solutions in merchant business use cases like segmentation, web analytics, causal analysis, ROI assessment etc. This role will participate in various design discussions, create solution design deliverables and develop technologies and ensure successful delivery of business capabilities.

• Design and build
  solutions for our business partners using Big Data technologies.
  Responsibilities include the creation of conceptual approach, technical
  analysis, causal analysis, design, development and support activities.

• Build logical
  data models using the technology relevant for the business use case.

• Partner with
  Business stakeholders with the goal of providing them with the ability to make
  decisions and gain insights through data visualization. Development would
  include requirements gathering, Data-model and how to best visualize their
  data, followed by design, deployment, and on-going enhancements.

• Work closely with
  the Project Management Office and various business stakeholders to drive and/or
  facilitate development of requirements, specifications and use cases for
  assigned projects.

• Able to work on
  multiple projects and initiatives with different/competing timelines and
  demands.

• Lead
  collaboration activities with business partners on detailed workflow design,
  configuration, and business re-engineering.

• Work with
  delivery partners to review and finalize technical specifications and
  implementation related activities.

• Collaborate with
  business partners on user acceptance testing.

• Work with limited
  direction, usually within a complex environment, to drive delivery of solutions
  and meet service levels

• Collaborate
  across global businesses and technology organizations, providing sound business
  analysis, process, and change leadership

• BS or equivalent in CS or related field

• 10+ years of experience in Hadoop, ETL frameworks, data analytics, python, pig, Hive, MR,
  Spark and designing dashboards and visualizations

• Expertise in PL/SQL

• Experience working on Big Data – Hadoop technologies

• Process oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Hands-experience in Unix will be good

• Previous Agile/Scrum experience - a plus

• Prior experience in analytics in Merchant domain is a plus
