Job Description

Inovant, LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs Senior Project Managers in Foster City, CA to partner with Business and IT Development to manage cross-divisional projects, in remote locations. Work with business and technology subject matter experts to define scope, create accurate and inclusive estimates, develop budgets and project plans, and produce high quality project charters and other planning documentation needed for funding approvals. Review project activities, conduct reviews, manage risk mitigation, issues, and change control processes. Communicate status to senior executives within the development and business partner organizations. Review and track project budgets, forecasts and schedule to achieve target scope, schedule and cost. Ensure that all Corporate Business Systems projects are in compliance with Visa's internal Project Management Methodology and Key Controls. Provide accurate and timely information for regular reports on project progress and financial status. Provide project teams with expertise, direction, motivation, and encouragement. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changes in roles and responsibilities. Achieve project goals by collaborating with stakeholders at all management levels across Visa, including architects and strategists, technical IT subject matter experts, business partners, vendors, and Visa senior management. Demonstrate skills in conflict management and negotiation to achieve project goals and develop trust with stakeholders. Use capabilities to influence customers and stakeholders, and properly manage divergent expectations. No direct reports and no supervisory duties for direct reports. Position is still an individual contributor level role, and not on managerial level within the corporate hierarchy.

Qualifications

Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, followed by (12) twelve years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in a computer project management-related occupation. Some travel (less than 10%) may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
