Job Description

Merchant and Acquirer Processing (MAP) is a Product Development (PD) Group within the Visa Technology Team.  This group is responsible for building leading edge full-service Payment Solutions for our customers by combining global payment processing, fraud management, payment security and reporting systems.  We are a group of bright, motivated engineers and technical managers excited about building the next generation of Payment products that will drive e-Commerce, mobile-Commerce as well as POS businesses for our customers.      

We are looking for a talented and versatile Sr. Scrum Master to join our team!  

The Sr. Scrum Master is a highly visible leadership position within MAP PD ensuring planning and execution processes are aligned for effective delivery of critical, customer facing, enterprise class software development projects. He or she coaches and facilitates scrum teams through the software development life cycle using Agile, Scrum, and Lean methodologies and works cross-functionally throughout the company to ensure projects are effectively developed and deployed with quality and on time delivery into our production systems.     

Responsibilities:  

  • Fulfills the role of the Scrum Master leading multiple Scrum Teams through the Agile/Scrum process in the delivery of critical, customer facing, enterprise software development projects to our production systems.
  • Implements Agile/Scrum practices to facilitate the incremental and adaptive delivery of software products within his/her scrum teams.
  • Responsible for planning, executing, tracking and managing cost, schedule, and scope on all projects.
  • Identifies and manages the risks associated with projects to achieve project success.
  • Uses business and technical knowledge to implement solutions to impediments, keeping projects on track.
  • Works closely with other departments and partners to ensure on-time delivery of critical projects.
  • Responsible for project reporting at the team level as well as for managers and executives.
  • Drive improvements in software development practices/processes within his/her teams.
  • Drives the adoption of key engineering practices like Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, etc. to improve quality and reliability of team's deliverables.
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring of Product Owners and Scrum Team members on Agile/Scrum/Lean principles and practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
  • 10+ years of experience, as an Analyst, Project Manager or Developer, working with technical teams developing Enterprise class software applications.
  • 4+ years of experience as a SCRUM Master, Project Leader, Project/Program Manager.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Lean principles and practices.
  • Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent facilitation skills with ability to influence change at higher levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of competency using Scrum practices.
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • PMP Certification

 Desired Qualifications:  

  • Experience with online/ecommerce, payment processing, and/or financial systems
  • Experience as a Software Developer
  • CSP certification
  • MBA
