Job Description

Visa is seeking highly energetic, passionate, technology enthusiasts for Marketing Data Products team. As a Engineering Manager, you will work with product specialists, technical team and systems engineers. Partner with Business stakeholders with the goal of providing them with the ability to make decisions and gain insights through Big data. Build Data Ingestion, Machine Learning and Reporting solutions for Visa Marketing and Communications to optimize Marketing spend and improve Brand Marketing Funnel

Role and Responsibilities

- Develop strong Business Intelligence solutions using Big Data Technology stack

- Solve complex business problems using the machine learning solutions

- Take execution and delivery responsibility for the proposed solution

- Strong Analytical and Problem solving capabilities

- Do causal, attribution/driver analysis on the marketing data assets and be able to get meaning out of data

- Delegate and manage work efficiently among resources based on their skill set

- Ability to make changes to the solutions and evolve based on changing business requirements

- Work with dev, operations and business team to resolve any issues to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of production systems

- Encourage within team and cross team collaboration

- Thriving in self-motivated internal-innovation driven environment

- Adapting fast to new application knowledge and changes

Qualifications

- B.E. or equivalent in CS or related field

- 10+ years of experience in building data applications and solutions

- Expertise in Big Data Technology stack/Hadoop Hive/MapReduce/PIG

- Expertise in data mining, machine learning tools to build statistical/logistical models using appropriate tools

- Excellent knowledge of data mining / predictive modeling tools such as SQL, R, and Python.

- Ability to understand the Big Picture and come up with solution architecture

- Expertise in analyzing the data to identify patterns

- Expertise in PL/SQL/HQL/NoSQL etc.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Prior experience in analytics in marketing domain is a plus
