Job Description

Based in Moscow, the role holder must possess a blend of strategic, business, technical, and product management skills to ensure that Visa can establish itself as a leader in the area of innovation within a market place that is also the hotbed for payments innovation by local payment brands, mobile network operators (MNOs) and other non-traditional competitors to Visa. The role holder will be required interface / collaborate closely with cross functional Visa teams in the Country, Global and International hub and also working independently with senior external stakeholders contacts which includes - clients, mobile operators, 3rd party solution providers, online merchants/IPSPs etc.


Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Areas

Proximity payments

Develop & implement NFC & proximity (contactless) strategy and business plan for Russia in conjunction with the country, Global and CEMEA hub team.

Provide leadership to Clients and technology partners on all matters relating to NFC & contactless products.

Manage external consultants, relationships and communication with Visa Clients/Members, vendors and partners.

Tokenization:

Implement of tokenization initiatives - VDEP, VTS, and other VTS-based solutions (as may be applicable) in Russia

Provide support to clients on tokenization related matters and develop collaborative relationships with external stakeholders including IPSPs, Merchants, Vendors, 3rd party solution providers

Mobile:

Lead relationships with MNO and other external stakeholder.

Develop and execute plans relating to mobile payments in conjunction with the international mobile hub team


Strategic Nature, Mgmt Accountability, & Scope

Inputs into budget and planning process and execution of annual Emerging Products plans for Russia

Recommendations on potential investments, projects, partnerships and initiatives that Visa may undertake in the geographies.


Decision Making & Complexity

  • Work directly with local market sales teams and hub/solutions teams to drive the EP&I agenda for the Russia market

  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers within all major clients to complement and support relationship management by the geographic and sales teams


Financial & Organizational Scope

Organizational scope: The role holder is expected to work independently but will require indirect matrix management / with various colleagues from different domains globally and regionally. The role requires direct regular contact with BDMs of Russia and would have a high degree of exposure and direct communication with the International hub product leads and the respective Global functional heads.

Strong domain knowledge & prior experience in Emerging Products & technology

Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Development and preparation of executive level briefs including the ability to conduct presentations and
trainings

Solid interpersonal skills and an ability to work with cross functional teams

Self-directed and motivated


Required Experience (education, skills - professional/technical/business)

Engineering degree preferred

5-8 years experience in financial services.

Extremely high value on direct exposure to emerging market payment solutions & advanced understanding of payments systems, chip/contactless, ecommerce, digital payments and mobile technologies.

Excellent inter-personal / client management skills

Strong analytical and good organizational skills

Solid communication skills – both written and spoken

Driven, self-starter
