Organization Summary:

The Corporate IT (CIT) organization is responsible for all facets of architecture, software development and production support of key internal systems supporting areas such as Finance, Revenue, Treasury, Human Resources, Legal, Contact Center and End User. Within this organization, the Program and Business Management Office supports program and  business management across Corporate IT.

Job Description

This candidate will join the Corporate Business Systems Program Management Office (PMO) for Finance, Human Resources, Risk, Legal and Corporate Tools Program Solutions. These Programs include
technical project management for Business activities including applications such as Oracle e-Business Suite, Hyperion, Tax and Treasury, Human Capital Management, Clarity, Analytics, Risk, Legal and Compliance. The position will be responsible for successful project delivery while working with matrix teams
comprised of Systems Analyst, Vendor, Development, Quality Assurance Testing, Operations and Business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with Business and IT Development, manage cross-divisional projects, in remote locations, including:

    • Working with business and technology subject matter experts to define scope, create
      accurate and inclusive estimates, develop budgets and project plans, and produce high quality project charters and other planning documentation needed for funding approvals.

    • Direct project activities, conduct reviews, manage risk mitigation, issues, change control processes, and communicate status to senior executives within the development and business partner organizations

    • Manage and track project budgets, forecasts and schedule to achieve target scope, schedule
      and cost.

    • Ensure that all Corporate Business Systems projects are in compliance with Visa's internal
      Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and that accurate and timely
      information is collected and reported regularly on project progress and
      financial status.

  • Provide project teams with expertise, direction, motivation, and encouragement. Direct project team composed of: local and remote teams/resources and external vendors, Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changes in roles and responsibilities.

  • Achieve project goals by collaborating with stakeholders at all management levels across Visa, including architects and strategists, technical IT subject matter experts, business partners, vendors, and Visa senior management. Demonstrate skills in conflict management and negotiation to achieve project goals and develop trust with stakeholders.

  • Manage through influence, but without direct management authority. Use capabilities to influence
    customers and stakeholders, and properly manage divergent expectations.

Qualifications

     
  • Bachelor degree in a Computer Science/Engineering is required and/or an MS/MBA is a
    plus
    .
  • 15+ years of proven project management experience leading technical teams in the delivery of large and medium scale software development, operational and integration efforts in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Experience in managing and executing large scale global implementations for Oracle e-Business Suite, Hyperion, Tax and Treasury, Archer, HR, Clarity and Risk/Legal Applications.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required. Demonstrated ability to effectively
    communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels.

  • Ability to understand Business needs related to Finance, Procure-to-Pay, Treasury, Tax and Human Resource, Legal, Risk and Compliance system solutions.

  • Ability to negotiate and gain consensus between organizations where competing priorities exist.

  • Proficiency with agile/SCRUM and Waterfall development methodologies and experience in working with agile lifecycle and/or tracking and process/project management tools, e.g. Rally, JIRA, Microsoft Projects and Excel.

  • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration.

  • Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices.

  • Self-motivated; able to work independently while coordinating activities with cross-divisional teams in remote locations.

  • Reputation for being a collaborative thought partner and business leader, skilled at establishing formal and informal networks within the company.

  • Independent judgment and mature decision making skills to deal with activities that often have enterprise-wide scope and may have significant financial and compliance impacts.

  • Thorough attention to detail and the ability to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate activities with other teams when needed.

  • Ability to negotiate and gain consensus between organizations where competing priorities exist.
  • PMP certification preferred.
