Job Description

Purpose:
Establish and implement the strategic framework and approach for global marketing opportunities and engagements across POS, Contactless and Mobile Pays. The role will focus on managing and optimizing marketing POS, Contactless and Mobile Pay initiatives that deliver solutions to key global marketing objectives such as driving brand preference with key audiences, PCE penetration, cross border transactions and growth of ecommerce/mobile payments. This position will work closely with regional and local client marketing leads as a key resource for executing marketing campaigns and initiatives. The position will also be a key marketing representative for colleagues in the Innovation & Strategic Partnerships and Merchant Services & Solutions team. The manager will be instrumental in expanding the ability for Visa to establish, execute and optimize POS programs that include merchants and issuer clients.

In addition, the manager will be responsible for executing Contactless and Mobile Pay projects for the global client marketing team with leading partners, internal and external. The position will help develop research and insights that build the value of collaborating with Visa at point of sale (physical and digital storefronts). They will also be instrumental in supporting the rollout of contactless strategy across the globe beginning in the US.

Key Result Areas:
• Ability to influence global client’s perception of working with Visa through sharing of marketing expertise, access to marketing capabilities/assets and execution of co-marketing programs.
• Ability to enable regional and local markets to activate marketing programs more efficiently with application of best practices, usage of pre-established funding/terms/contracts with clients and support activating co-marketing programs.
• Provide marketing value and support to teams working on global client RFPs using aligned fundamentals tailored to specific client needs and asks focused on POS, Contactless and Mobile Pays.

Key Performance Indicators:
• Visa brand preference and Visa association contactless/mobile pays/ the many ways to pay other than card
• Number of POS, Contactless and Mobile Pay co-marketing activations enabled
• Increase in Visa brand presence at/around POS
• Client engagement survey metrics tied to marketing
• Global RFPs supported and won by Visa

Reporting Relationships:
Report to Global Client Marketing Senior Director

Qualifications

Skills & Knowledge:
Professional:
Ability to collaborate successfully in a highly matrixed organization, especially within an integrated marketing organization
Strong communication skills and capacity to present to senior leaders confidently
Comfortable with fluid project/team structures
Self-starter that seeks to find solutions when not readily available

Technical:
Proficient with Microsoft Products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Additional Comments:
The role will require a results-oriented, highly motivated, hands-on person who will function well internally within a global, matrixed organization and externally with varied types/tiers of partners.

International travel may be required for this role.
