Job Description

Description
Support the delivery of innovation to card products (and companion devices) and review and approve client card innovations. As a key member of the Global Product Marketing Innovation team, this role will rely on strong card manufacturing and personalization knowledge base to provide guidance and consultation on payment device design innovation initiatives. This position will manage design innovation projects that may be global in scope and strategic in nature, incorporating additional key disciplines such as industry standards, design innovation thinking, qualitative and quantitative research, and in-market testing.

Responsibilities
• Manage inbound client submissions for card innovation
• Support the development of payment device design innovation opportunities
• Manage external agency and card vendor resources to deliver on identified goals and objectives
• Oversee global card vendor and component supplier relationship activities, including contract negotiations and management

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Four year college degree required; Graduate degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years industry experience, with majority in payment card/device disciplines such as printing, manufacturing, personalization, industry standards and testing protocols, chip technology and R&D with a focus on innovation
• Proven track record of driving and successfully implementing payment device innovation projects
• Knowledge of financial services and technology industries with an understanding of the Visa business (preferred)
• Proven ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple corporate disciplines and varying cross-functional groups
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and client consultation expertise
• Visually and design oriented
• Skilled at writing creative briefs and developing strategic design principles
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
• Management of external agency/vendor partners
• Global experience a plus
