Job Description

Responsible for supporting the execution of strategic plans and
initiatives essential to expanding Visa acceptance in global merchant markets. This
position will report to the VP of Strategic Initiatives and work closely with a
global cross-functional group of stakeholders spanning Merchant Sales
(Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, and CEMEA), Risk, Operating Rules, Merchant
Marketing, Pricing, and Product teams, among others, to enable expanded
acceptance in target countries around the world. The position will be responsible for supporting
the development and execution of sales and pricing programs, policies,
strategic partnerships and rules to accelerate merchant acceptance. The position will also support additional
global strategic acceptance initiatives as required.



Ideal candidates should have a broad perspective of
the global payments industry coupled with a proven ability to translate strategy
into tangible results.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of initiatives to support Visa’s
    global strategy for expansion of merchant acceptance in underpenetrated country
    and market segments

  • Conduct industry and country research, collect and analyse relevant
    data, manage projects in the execution of strategic expand access initiatives

  • Develop business cases that support strategic
    initiatives aimed at supporting Visa’s marketplace expansion strategy

  • Develop tracking/reporting of success metrics

  • Support the development and communication of best practices and applicable
    policy initiatives across key global markets to further expand acceptance

  • Support country teams on local expand access programs and initiative
    implementations

  • In conjunction with local regional and country sales teams, lead the
    development of new strategic partnership opportunities

  • Working collaboratively with key business partners (MSS sales and
    regional country teams, Pricing, Strategy); will be highly reliant on strong
    influence management skills and the ability to build and maintain internal and
    external relationships

Qualifications

  • 5+ years business experience in
    Payments/ Consulting organizations, preferably in a global capacity

  • Demonstrated knowledge of payments
    industry, particularly issues related to merchant acceptance

  • Demonstrated track record of planning
    and executing complex projects

  • Ability to implement strategic
    initiatives, policies and operational decisions for a major segment and
    business

  • Excellent written and verbal
    communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships
    across levels including executive management.

  • Ability to establish, manage
    & grow internal and external resources and influence cross functional
    relationships

  • Some international travel
    required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA
    preferred
