CyberSource is looking for a bright, passionate and dedicated Senior Build & Release Engineer to join our expanding Product Development team in Belfast, NI. In this role you will work closely with Infrastructure Provisioning, Application Development and Operations teams to provide fully automated build and deployment routines for Development, Staging, and Production environments. This is an exciting time for the Build & Release team as they implement Build & Release automation towards the goal of Continuous Delivery.

You will have responsibility to:

• Work directly with agile Application Development to provide daily support aligned with a model of Continuous Delivery.
• Promote a Dev Ops culture through building relationships with Development & Operations and driving enhancements to the end-to-end release process (workstation to production).
• Define and evolve Build & Release best practice by working within your own team and educating the other stakeholder teams. These best practices should support traceability & auditability of change.
• Administer various tools supporting SCM & Release Mgt including Source Control, Continuous Integration, and Artifact Management & Change Management.

Strong knowledge & experience of working with the following:

• Source Control Tools such as GIT
• Build Automation tools such as Maven
• Continuous Delivery Approach
• Linux/UNIX system administration
• Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins (focus on Pipeline)
• Scripting language such as Bash, Perl or Python
• Orchestration tools such as Chef
• Virtualization tools as Vagrant and Docker
• Configuration Tokenization Tools/Solutions
• Red Hat Package Manager (RPM)
• Enterprise High Availability Platforms
• Administration of Application Servers such as tcServer/Tomcat, JBoss & Websphere (& Deployment Manager),
• Jira Change Management tool or equivalent
• Troubleshooting environment related issues
• ITIL/ITSM Standards for Configuration Management

In addition to the above, the candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

• 3+ years of experience in Release and Configuration management roles

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Should have hands on and good understanding on DevOps tools and automation framework
• Very good attention to detail, someone who takes ownership and pride in all work
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as with a team
• Understanding of the software development life-cycle
• Previous experience as a programmer is desirable
• Must be able to occasionally work off-hours to support production releases
• Working knowledge of Docker, Chef, Jenkins Pipeline and related areas highly preferred
