The Role

Reporting to the Global Head of Push Payments, the Director Global Remittance Products is a critical leadership role responsible for building our global remittance businesses. Leveraging, Visa’s real time push payments platform, this role will have the responsibility to develop Visa’s global execution strategy, prioritize remittance applications, platform enhancements, key risk/operational controls, partnership strategies and priority markets. This role will work with regional executives and cross-functional teams to build and execute the strategy.

To be successful this candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, an analytic and strategic bent, be comfortable driving change in a highly matrixed organization, and have a proven track record in leading, managing, mentoring and motivating highly effective teams in a fast paced and demanding environment.
Responsibilities
• Drive the strategy and delivery of global remittance products and services,
• Build a real time remittance value proposition based on Visa’s global reach, operational and risk controls, global partnership/bilateral strategies,
• Build payment volumes, build pricing strategy and yield targets,
• Respond to RFP’s:- develop, manage and coordinate pitch materials and financial incentives. Provide product subject matter expertise in pitches and determine impacts to delivery resources,
• Provide industry knowledge and implications on known or potential impacts to Financial Institutions,
• Track and understand customer needs and trends providing insights into how they are/may impact client business models,
• Advocate for Visa products and initiatives with clients through consultative selling, in collaboration and conjunction with Visa sales teams,
• Inform Visa product strategy by developing marketplace viewpoint and advocating for client needs internally,
• Evaluate and approve new business partnerships prior to signing deals, highlighted associated risks to ensure appropriate deal structure. Recommend revised strategies as needed to reduce risk and improve deal performance,
• Travel to regional market locations (estimated 50% travel).

Qualifications

Professional Experience
• 10+ years product development experience in the financial services or payments industry
• Prior consulting or product management experience in banking and financial services, managing payment products (credit, debit, prepaid, digital, etc…) and cardholder engagement strategies,
• Knowledge of payments industry trends,
• Cross-functional experience – skills leveraging internal company support organizations to deliver value propositions,
• Demonstrated success in building and managing external partnerships and clear ability to negotiate complex structures,
• Excellent analytical skills, with the capability to direct and interpret sophisticated hypothesis-driven analyses,
• Strong understanding money transfer businesses, risk management and key controls,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation generation and delivery to executive management.
