Job Description

The Sr. Director Finance, Client Support Services (CSS) will be a financial business partner for the CSS business group. The Sr. Director will be responsible for leading the financial planning & analysis processes, partnering with the business to build business cases and prioritize investments, managing expenses, and providing broad decision support analytics to assist business leaders in running the assigned functions.

This role will be responsible for developing and driving a proactive, collaborative partnership between Finance and CSS organizations, deeply embedding Finance into the business, understanding the function’s needs, and identifying trends and opportunities to advance Visa's overall business and financial strategy.

The role includes frequent interaction with senior management and other key stakeholders. CSS is a global team of over 2,000 employees that provides support to Visa clients and is actively involved in a number of Visa
initiatives including the launch of Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay.

The Sr. Director Finance will have significant experience in establishing strong business and financial planning processes, budgeting, developing strategic frameworks and analysis to drive critical financial decisions; assessing corporate model changes and timely financial and management reporting. The role will interact and influence others via a matrix structure. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work across a matrixed business organizations and closely liaison with Finance and CSS teams.

Qualifications

Financial Leadership


•Drives an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives

•Responsible for preparation and analysis of annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecasts and variances

•Provides budget information and analysis to senior management and stakeholders

•Creates effective performance metrics, or management systems to drive accountability and ownership within the corporate departments and business units

•Sets performance metrics that can be regularly tracked to measure progress

•Drives profitable growth by improving visibility, forecasting, consolidation and analysis of results and key metrics while advising senior management on insights and recommended actions

•Ability to handle projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of
product business problems


Professional


•MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic experience

•10+ years of experience within the Finance function or with relevant experience in Financial Institutions, investment banking, or other analytical business support functions

•Global or multi-national business experience strongly preferred

•Strong customer focus combined with an in-depth understanding of the trends affecting the financial services, payments and ecommerce world

•Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor

•Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment

•Advanced level of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required



Business Leadership


•Strong executive presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior executives and external business partners

•Strategic thought leadership

•Experience presenting complex materials in a succinct manner to senior executives to drive effective decision-making.

•Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence successfully within a matrixed organization

•Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance including P&L
responsibility and accurately forecasting sources of cost, and revenue 

•Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across a breadth of stakeholders
