Job Description

Inovant, LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs Project Managers in Palo Alto, CA. This position has no direct reports. This is an individual contributor level position. Responsible for project management of large scale, cross-divisional projects with budgets in excess of $1 million, within Visa's Global Merchant Platform (a suite of technology applications that creates unique system identifiers for each merchant, merchant location and hierarchy within a merchant brand, and is used extensively within Visa to identify merchants and merchant locations associated with Visa transactions that are in turn used for loyalty points programs, rewards programs, and compliance programs). Work with Product Owners to develop project roadmaps which align to business objectives and sequenced by priority and resource availability. Responsible for managing technology implementation projects that will build, enhance and/or retire Visa computer systems and programs. Drive efficiency by utilizing Visa Project Management Methodology, processes and tools. Provide timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders.Hold regular cross organizational management briefings. Work with technical teams to understand requirements, and work with the technical lead to identify the various system components required to meet the request. Track and monitor progress and report on project status, issues and risks, and hold regular cross organizational management briefings with all the project stakeholders to ensure all are aware of the progress and/or issues and risks, key decisions and schedules. Guide a matrixed team, utilizing hard and soft skills to influence participants of all levels towards the common goal (team will not be directly reporting to this position). Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues. Maintain meticulous records of projects and programs financials, issues, risks, decisions, schedules. Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor. Individual contributor level role only. No direct reports, and no managerial duties. Position is not managerial level within the corporate hierarchy. CSM certification required.

Qualifications

Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in a business analyst-related occupation. CSM certification required.
