Job Description
Work with Application teams to deploy their
applications with the optimal Load Balancing and Akamai design.Work on
for WAN and WAN Optimization products, working with application owners
and clients to fine-tune WAN links for optimal performance
- Extensive experience working with F5 and Cisco Load Balancers.
- Extensive experience working with Akamai deployments
- At least 5-7 years related experience in service provider
environments, designing, planning, documenting and implementing Load
Balancers and WAN Optimizers Provide 3rd level technical support to Visa
clients and to technical teams within Visa to resolve network issues and to
support the implementation of new network solutionsEvaluate new technology and bring
opportunities forward that would improve the future network architecture,
performance, and network servicesEnsure full compliance of Visa Key Controls
and Technical Service Requirements for all network architecture, designs, and
implementations both past and presentEnsure all changes go through appropriate
review, change control, and acceptance before implementationLead development, testing and QA functions
to ensure that projects are securely delivered and fulfill expectationsBuild and maintain relationships with
global and virtual teams and third parties on network development or support
issuesProvide highest level of technical
consultancy to ensure problem resolution is achieved in the shortest possible
timeframeWork with the Information Security Office
to ensure solutions deployed meet Visa Security Requirements and provide
technical assistance for investigation and analysis of security alertsDevelopment of processes and procedures for
use by the Network team and third parties in the management of network
environmentsDevelop and position solutions and build
plans to effectively gain buy-in from all participantsProvide recommendations to management team
to increase effectiveness of organization and technology solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related
fieldExperience working with carriers to
evaluate technology, pricing, SLAs, redundancy, etc. for global network
deployment initiativesExtensive experience and expertise on IP
routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGPAdvanced understanding of TCP/IP network
protocols, including common application protocolsSelf-sufficient with the ability to make
engineering decisions within the documented configuration requirements and
control processesThis position will need to be able to
communicate and work effectively with implementation teams, customer relations,
and internal/external customers to engineer solutions to meet the needs of all
stakeholdersAdvanced process orientation and exhibited
planning, organizational, and problem solving skillsStrong interpersonal, facilitation, and
leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal
in English) skillsThe ability to support network operations
in an on-call fashion is a requirement
