Job Description

At Visa, risk management is everybody’s job, every day. To empower Visa’s staff to be individual risk managers, Enterprise Risk Management continuously enhance the Enterprise Risk Framework and collaborate with the global business to ensure risk is at the forefront of each strategic and business objective. We are looking for a thought partner and team player who will be responsible for advancing and implementing ERM roadmap initiatives.

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  1. Lead ERM Integration Initiatives and Activities - Align Visa’s Global Risk Management Framework and underlying risk programs and processes ensuring the organization is operating under “One Visa,” and in compliance with applicable industry best practices and global regulatory guidelines (FFIEC, Bank of England, BIS, etc.)

  2. Design Risk Framework Components - Enhance, build, or expand Risk Identification, Risk Scoring, Risk Appetite, and Risk Reporting infrastructures, including relevant programs and processes across the global organization, and socialize concepts cross-functionally and geographically utilizing tactical approaches to implementation

    • Build/Expand risk identification programs to
      ensure all risks are appropriately and consistently managed

    • Enhance the enterprise risk appetite to permeate
      through functions and geographies

    • Develop a common risk scoring mechanism across
      organizational risk assessments and reviews

    • Enhance ERM risk reporting for consistency and appropriate
      coverage

  3. Support ERM Functions and Objectives - Support ERM special projects such as corporate educational risk training, expanding risk automation tools, maintenance of ERM policies and documentation, and activities focusing on the advancement of risk accountability and culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 8+ years of relevant and progressive experience within the payment industry, risk consulting, financial services, and/or regulatory agency

  • Experience and knowledge in building and managing ERM Frameworks within financial service organizations

  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations for financial institutions with ability to translate broad guidance into action plans

  • Broad understanding of the inter-dependency between Operational, Technological, Strategic and Reputational Risks as well as general Compliance Standards

  • Excellent collaboration and communications skills with experience influencing, communicating and driving change through cross-functional groups including the ability to diplomatically build consensus across disparate views

  • Strong independent judgement yet work effectively with others in a fast paced and dynamic environment with high degree of accuracy

  • Ability to prioritize deliverables efficiently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously to drive projects to completion timely

  • Strong proficiency with project management tools, particularly PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Project & Excel
